THE REV. DR. FABIAN VILLALOBOS

The Rev. Dr. Fabian Villalobos was rooted from generations of faith and tradition where his vocation of service in the Church and his call to the priesthood was fostered. Fr. Fabian began studies in Bogota, Colombia obtaining a B.A. in Philosophy, and later he moved to Italy where he earned a License in Systematic Theology and also a M.A. in Ecumenism with focus on Comparative Religions. Rev. Villalobos is a Doctor of Ministry (DMin) graduate from Fuller School of Theology in Pasadena, CA., U.S.A.

In 2002, Fabian+ was ordained a priest in the Roman Catholic Church in Italy. He immediately began serving as Rector of two congregations, one of whose church was established in the 11th Century with extraordinary architectural and artistic value. Fr. Fabian also held positions at the diocesan level, and in various social organizations, and was a member of Pax Christi and the Cursillo Movement.

While in Italy, Fr. Villalobos approached the Episcopal Church, and after a lengthy period of discernment and prayerful reflection, he moved to the United States where he has been dedicated to growing in the richness of the Anglican tradition. His formation was strengthened at the Bishop Stanton Center. During his reception process, he served as Youth Director and also as Parish Administrator of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Irving, TX. On April 3, 2012, Fabian+ was officially received as priest in The Episcopal Church by the Rt. Rev James Monte Stanton, Sixth Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas.
